About Us

 The LaFontaine Arts Council formed in the early 1970’s and became incorporated in 1978.  By 1990 the Council began Arts in Education programming in Huntington County Schools. The series became a vital asset for schools by providing exposure to arts and culture. The board of directors have continued to work to bring programming to the schools while also supporting arts in the community.

At the Huntington Art Center, our mission is to uplift local artists and make the arts accessible to everyone by removing financial barriers. We serve the entire community by creating inclusive, culturally rich artistic opportunities that enhance the quality of life in Huntington County.
